GYOPO held a private children's event on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 4:30–6PM at the GYOPO Space. Korean pansori pop band Leenalchi performed in Los Angeles for a big, sold-out concert at the Getty in partnership with GYOPO, and came to GYOPO the afternoon before for an intimate youth workshop for our community.
This special children's event included a shadow puppet art workshop, storytelling with the band where they explained the lyrics to their song "Crying Softshell Turtle," derived from a Korean folktale, and a short live performance and dance party featuring fun decorations and projections. Homemade snacks (rice balls, egg salad sandwiches, chicken lumpia and more) were provided by Saehee Cho.
