At the inaugural program of GYOPO’s mixed race series with sociologist and writer Dr. Grace M. Cho and mixed race psychologist Dr. Jennifer Noble discussed the sedimented social history of mixed race in Korea with finessed empathy. Dr. Cho read tenaciously heartwarming and heartbreaking passages from her award winning book Tastes Like War: A Memoir as Dr. Jenn Noble located and further framed emotional standpoints of navigating society as a mixed race individual.
